University of Peking and the Department of Foreign Languages
17 – 19 September 2018

"China and the World: Development and Cooperation from the Perspective of the Belt and Road Initiative. Diachronic and Cross-Border Transmission of Ibadi Knowledge"

The conference will bring together world specialists in the field to explore and discuss the historical relationships and transmission of knowledge that developed through a series of networks known as the the terrestrial Silk Road and the maritime Silk Route. This transmission took place thanks to a process of cultural exchange between the East Asia and the rest of the Eurasia that began as early as the 11th century BCE.
